MASS MOCA: MY LATEST OBSESSION

Two weekends ago I visited Mass MoCA in North Adams, Massachusetts for the first time. It could possibly be one of my favorite places in western Mass and I can't wait to go back! Just an hour away from home, an old factory turned modern art museum holds some of the latest pieces of  large scale art installations and ranks among the most visited institutions in the United States dedicated to contemporary art.

As you enter into the museum, you walk past Natalie Jeremijenko's "Tree Logic."
Although suspended upside down, the trees continue to reach for the sun.

Material World: Sculpture to Environment is a collection of industrial produced materials which have been transformed into a stunning, "dreamlike" world.

I'll have to go back with a camera other then my iPhone,
but not bad for capturing a few shots.

There were eight more exhibits that were just as fascinating, and I strongly recommend taking a day to explore.
