GRANDPA'S FLICK OF THE DAY {the band wagon}

I'm so lucky to be able to bring Miguel {my dog} to stay with my Grandpa every day while I'm at work, and I'm even luckier to be able to spend that time with him when I pick Miguel up after work. Whether a story was told or an old movie clip was played, I always leave his house amazed at how much he has to share, and how much he knows...about everything! 


He spends his days reading the local papers, magazines and library books from beginning to end with an enormous dictionary by his side {and we all wonder how he knows almost all of the answers to Jeopardy}! Lately he's been on an old movie kick {I mean old flick kick} so I've started a list of the flicks I've caught a few minutes of as I pass through his house each day. Yesterday he was watching The Band Wagon with Fred Astaire and Cyd Charisse, and he made sure to rewind it just enough so he could share this dance scene with me.

With all of the nonsense on TV these days {and yes, I'm guilty of watching some of it too} I'm going to try to explore these old classics and share the list of movies that my grandfather is sharing with me.
