{weekend project} DOES YOUR PET NEED A CLOSET?

I know many of you animal lovers out there understand the obsession with your own pets. These days dogs and cats can have more clothing, accessories and toys then most children...we'll maybe that's a slight exaggeration, but you know what I mean. Coming home with that new toy or fresh bag of treats for my animals {there's cat around here too} and seeing the excitement on their little faces just melts my heart...I can only imagine what it'll be like when it's a little "mini me" I'm coming home to...someday. Anyway...I was thinking, instead of baskets here and there full of toys and leashes, why not a closet? Remember this thing?

I was just about to give up on this cabinet until I thought I would give it one more chance. After a little tug-of-war with the shelves, intense sanding, fresh coat of paint(s) and some storage accessories, Miguel now has his own closet {which really only benefits me of course}!

Here's how it all came together...

Now doesn't he look happy?

  3. Thanks! I loved working on this project...and I thought you might notice the star dog treats. He loves them, but we had to freeze half the bag because it takes him so long to go through them.

  4. Wonderful use of a plain, old, yucky looking cabinet and turning it into a fab piece of work! Great job and oh so very clever!

Just like the kitchens you design at Classic Kitchen. Creative, unique and very functional,

    Great job, Solana,
