I'M BACK {from pdx}

I just returned from a long weekend in the beautiful city of Portland, OR {my second home}. As the maid-of-honor in my best friend's wedding in October, I was there to help work out some of the design details for her big day. Of course it wasn't all work...we managed to venture out to visit some of our favorite spots {and a few new ones}.

Flying into Portland on a clear day you can see the snow covered mountains. Mt. Rainier and Mt. St. Helens were just up ahead, but I forget the name of these...Mt. Adams and ...?

Before I even left the airport I stopped to grab a much needed coffee.

I never visit without eating at Mio. I highly recommend the 'Sunny Special #1'...it's delicious!

I miss Rays Ragtime! Luckily we had a few minutes to stop in after lunch at the Heathman where I got to visit with some old friends. This is where I purchased my music sheet prints {here}...and I couldn't resist purchasing a few more. I'm sure you'll see them in a new post soon.

Rays has the best selection of vintage colthing and jewelry...I could spend hours in there.

We stopped for a drink at the new Zeus Cafe at the Crystal Hotel which had only opened up a few days before we were there. What used to be Silverados {which just moved to a new location} is now a 50 room hotel with a music lounge, a cafe, a hallway to the Annex and a saltwater hot tub for hotel guests. You can bet that's where I'll be staying when I visit again!

Couldn't resist taking this photo of a woman's toe socks as Em, the bride-to-be, was getting a touch-up on her tattoo...also played a little game called 'would you rather' {get this tattoo or this tattoo}.

Congratulations to the happy couple. Thanks for a great trip!!!
